Making Education Affordable

At Ranken, we believe that providing our students a more affordable education is integral to helping them experience success. Thanks to Ranken's Endowment Fund and Development program, all students enjoy a lower tuition rate compared to similar private educational institutions.
In addition, Ranken Technical College offers a variety of financial aid and scholarship options to cover full or partial payment of tuition and/or books, supplies and tools. Approximately 80 percent of our students receive some form of financial aid. Ranken makes every effort to assist all students in meeting their financial obligations through:

Students who are interested in receiving financial aid can start the process by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid that is available through the Financial Aid office.

Government Programs
As a Ranken student, you could have the option to participate in any of the following federal government programs:

Federal Pell Grant
- Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant
- Federal College Work Study programs
- Federal Family Education Loan Programs
To participate in any of these programs, you must first fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid available through Ranken's financial aid office. The deadline to apply for financial aid is April 15 for the fall semester and Oct. 15 for the spring semester.
Part-Time Employment, Scholarships and Loans through Ranken
Approximately 75 percent of Ranken students work at part-time jobs while maintaining satisfactory grades. Ranken offers a part-time employment service for students who need supplementary income.
In addition, Ranken provides students with scholarships recognizing scholastic achievement, attendance, work ethic, grades and financial need. Ranken also grants some first-semester loans. To be eligible for a loan from Ranken, students must first apply for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid that is available through the Financial Aid office.
