After two years of hands-on experience within Ranken Technical College’s Automotive Division programs, our students lead in the race to successful careers in the automotive industry.
Ranken graduates are experienced, and employers know it, that’s why 98 percent of our graduates receive jobs in their field within six months of graduation. Another benefit to our graduates is the College’s free lifetime job placement services.
With the knowledge, skill and respect gained through our automotive programs, our graduates enjoy career flexibility and opportunities for continual advancement in the industry. Not only are their salaries very competitive but they generally double with three to four years of experience.
Ranken’s experienced instructors make sure students know how to operate all of the College’s state-of-the-art vehicle-servicing equipment. Students become familiar with every aspect of the automotive industry, in fact, for every hour of lecture students spend three hours working on real vehicles in Ranken’s shop space.
Ranken students have the opportunity to showcase their skills at the district, state and national Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA) competitions where the College enjoys a strong showing each year; Ranken students regularly win top honors at all levels of these prestigious competitions.
