The High Performance Racing Technology program adds the excitement of aftermarket engine performance improvement to our standard automotive technician training. Our specialized training prepares students to adapt a wide variety of aftermarket engine components and control systems onto high performance engines and adjust them for maximum output and drivability using various data acquisition tools and dynamometers.
In order to gain a foundation of mechanical repair, students will share basic automotive repair courses with the AMT program. Upon completion of these courses, students can focus on two areas of emphasis, engines and tuning.
Graduates accept employment in automotive machine shop and race shops, automotive tuner/repair shops, aftermarket part manufacturers andsuppliers, professional racing teams and aftermarket tool manufacturers and suppliers.
