After attending Ranken, I worked and continued my education at Southern Illinois University, Purdue University, University of Virginia, and Hawthorne University, ultimately receiving my Doctoral degree. Through my continued studies, the practical knowledge gained at Ranken provided a foundation for academic theories. To this day in the software industry, understanding the underlying hardware learned at Ranken, makes me a better engineer and manager.”

After graduating from Ranken in 1978, Martin entered the work force and quickly realized the need for “continued education.” Martin worked jointly with the staff at Ranken Technical Institute and Southern Illinois University to have his two year Ranken certificate accepted into the SIUC Capstone Program.

This effort assisted Ranken in receiving its academic accreditation, and benefited all future Ranken graduates wanting to continue at four-year universities.  Martin continued his studies at Southern Illinois University, Purdue University, University of Virginia, and Hawthorne University, ultimately receiving his Doctoral degree.

Martin is a three-time VP of Engineering in California’s Silicon Valley, and is currently CTO of BusinessFirst Connect (BVI) Ltd.
